Biofuels Creating Wave of Mass Destruction in Food Market
Filed Under Think Outside the Box | Leave a Comment
Biofuels made from grains are causing a massive domino effect across the planet, creating shortages and stockpiling of foods as well as taking up land and resources where grains for human foods were once grown.
Biofuels - a good idea? Are there other options? How long will it take to figure this one out?

$11 Million to Set the Heathen Women of San Francisco to Run Amuck!
Filed Under Humans are so Funny | Leave a Comment
Today’s paper headline: “Prostitution may be decriminalized” in San Fran. Why? Proposition K forbids local authorities from investigating, arresting or prosecuting anyone for selling sex. Not technically “legalizing” prostitution, but the law would eliminate the power of local law enforcement officers to go after the heathens.
Okay, here’s the bottom-line. The police need money. $11 mil will be kept in coffers if they leave the girls alone. I suppose there must be more important heathens running amuck out there.
The up and down and in and out (no pun intended) of finances, politics and force are tipped easily, eh?
Never say never!
Go girls!

Today’s Government section of the paper has three articles side-by-side titled as follows:
McCain says he’s been tested in crisis
Obama: McCain has ‘outdated ideology’
Palin says Obama will cause crises
I wonder what crisis we’re really talking about here?! Geez.

The Seven Blunders of the World by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi
Filed Under The Problem Is . . . | Leave a Comment
The Seven Blunders of the World is a list that Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi gave to his grandson Arun Gandhi, written on a piece of paper, on their final day together, not too long before his assassination.
The Seven Blunders are:
- Wealth without work
- Pleasure without conscience
- Knowledge without character
- Commerce without morality
- Science without humanity
- Worship without sacrifice
- Politics without principle
This list grew from Gandhi’s search for the roots of violence. He called these acts of passive violence. Preventing these is the best way to prevent oneself or one’s society from reaching a point of violence.
8. To this list, Arun Gandhi added an eighth blunder, rights without responsibilities.
Nothing much to say after that, is there?
Thank you, Wikipedia for this.

Do we have a second right answer to help kids stay in and not drop out of school?
“Every 26 seconds a school age student drops out of U.S. schools.” I heard this on the national news recently. Nearly 7,000 American kids drop out of high school every day.
Why?
What year is this? The “WE’RE NUMBER 1″ country in the entire world?! And, these are our current stats on our kids? What happened? What is happening? What will it take to change it?

Woman Sues Over Misuse of Hair Dye
Filed Under HAL Awards | Leave a Comment
Being 100% responsible for our lives is a high order for about 98% of the population.
This woman is on the low end of the percentage of not only self-responsibility, but plain common sense!
A Connecticut judge dropped a suit of a blonde woman’s lawsuit claiming L’Oreal Inc. ruined her social life when she accidentally dyed her hair brunette with one of its products.
This woman, Charlotte Feeney of Stratford, says she can never return to her natural blonde hue, a shock that left her so traumatized she needed anti-depressants.
What. A first time hair dyer?
People! a) If you’ve ever dyed your hair, you know it gets darker the longer you leave it in, right? b) Haaaalllloooooo!
Hmmm. I wonder if the doctor that gave her the medication had any conversation with her at all about this? Oh, no. No. Of course not! Then she might not pay him/her for the time and medication! Doh!

Ohio Judge Sentences Rapper to Listen to Beethoven!
Filed Under Who's Doing It Right | Leave a Comment
Hate loud music coming from a nearby car? Me too, no matter what kind it is. I hope the next offender of noise pollution is in the jurisdiction of Ohio Judge Susan Fornof-Lippencott!
You can read the story here, but cliff notes: “Rap music blaring from car sited for noise pollution. Offender gets choice of a reduced fine and to listen to 20 hours of classical music - the kind he doesn’t want to have to listen to. He made it all of 15 minutes!”
We need more judges like Judge Susan. Way less lame noise pollution!
Go Susan!
